Christmas Toys to Embry Rucker Community Shelter

Dates: 12/19/2011 - 12/23/2011

Dream Bigger 4 Kids raised money by selling branded wristbands to high school students across Loudoun County. The funds were used to purchase gifts and toys for the 30 elementary school aged children residing at the Embry Rucker Community Shelter in Reston Virginia during the Christmas holiday season. The wonderful staff at Embry Rucker Community Shelter gave us a tour of the facility and expressed sincere gratitude for the gifts Dream Bigger 4 Kids provided.


Medical Supplies to a Medical Clinic Connected to a Zimbabwe Orphanage

Dream Bigger 4 Kids donated medical supplies, including stethoscopes and otoscopes, to a medical clinic serving an orphanage in Zimbabwe.


Toys and necessities donation to INOVA Fairfax Children’s Hospital

Dream Bigger 4 Kids raised money by selling branded wristbands to high school students across Loudoun County to purchase toys, blankets and pillows for the children admitted at the INOVA Fairfax Children's Hospital.


Toys and clothing donation to Door of Hope

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collected and purchased toys, clothing, and accessories for a Door of Hope donation. Door of Hope is a human services non-profit charitable organization located in Ashburn, Virginia dedicated to improving the lives of the economically  disadvantaged members of the Loudoun County community.


Sponsorship of Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, Inc

Dream Bigger 4 Kids sponsored the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, a Washington, DC charitable organization that ensures that children in emergency shelters and transitional housing have safe and stable opportunities to play, exercise and learn. DB4K participated in a fall fundraiser and made a donation to support the “Playrooms for Children in Shelters program.

Toys 4 Homeless Children Campaign

Dream Bigger 4 Kids raised money via Indiegogo, a crowd-sourcing campaign platform. The funds were used to purchase gifts and toys for the children residing at the Embry Rucker Community Shelter in Reston, Virginia during the Christmas holiday season.


Volunteering at Bread for the City

Dream Bigger 4 Kids members donated their time and volunteered at Bread for the City. Bread for the City provides vulnerable residents of Washington, DC, with  comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.


Volunteering at the Reston Community Center

Dream Bigger 4 Kids donated their time and volunteered at the Reston Community Center, organizing their children’s library.


Loudoun Interfaith Relief Canned Goods Donation

Date: 2/2/2013

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collaborated with the Tuscarora High School National Honors   Society and donated 372 pounds of canned goods to Loudoun Interfaith Relief. Loudoun Interfaith Relief provides food for hard working families who do not have enough resources to provide food for themselves and their families.


Roy Rogers Fundraiser

Dream Bigger 4 Kids created a co-marketing campaign with The Plamondon Companies (a for-profit) in order to raise funds, collaborating with Roy Rogers in Leesburg, Virginia for a fundraiser and attained 25% of total sales during the alloted promotional period.


Donation to the Throne Room Orpanage & Educational Center, Inc

Dream Bigger 4 Kids raised funds and collected used items, in order to donate numerous toys, clothes, educational supplies to an orphanage in Sierra Leone.


Clothing Donation to Door of Hope

Sponsorship of Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters

Dream Bigger 4 Kids provided a donation to the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters which is the only freestanding children's hospital in Virginia and the home to one of the nation's top pediatric residency programs. The proceeds of the grant will go to the provisions of comfort and entertainment of the children staying at their hospital facilities. 


Sponsorship of Feed My Starving Children

Dream Bigger 4 Kids sponsored Feed My Starving Children’s packing campaign in Syracuse, NY. Dream Bigger 4 Kids’ contribution alone pays for a full box of MannaPack Rice, providing 216 meals for disadvantaged, hungry children.  


Clothing Donation to Good Shepherd Alliance

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collected clothes and accessories to donate to Good Shepherd Alliance which is a non-profit organization providing help and hope for the homeless and those in need through emergency and transitional housing and outreach services leading to self-sufficiency and self-worth throughout Loudoun County.


Book Donation to the Patrick Henry Family Shelter

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collected 50 children’s books and donated them to the children residing at the Patrick Henry Family Shelter in Falls Church, Virginia.

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collected 50 children’s books and donated them to Mobile Hope. Mobile Hope is a non-profit designed to support the needs of precariously housed and at risk youth in Loudoun County, Virginia.


Capital One Bank Grant

Dream Bigger 4 Kids was selected to receive a monetary grant from Capital One Bank in Leesburg, Virginia. The proceeds of the grant will go to Mobile Hope, which is a non-profit designed to support the needs of precariously housed and at-risk youth in Loudoun County, Virginia.


McKinny-Vento Act Research

Dream Bigger 4 Kids provided Mobile Hope with research on McKinny Vento’s means of  defining child homelessness and its impact on the at-risk youth of Loudoun County. 


Book Donation to The Salvation Army

Dream Bigger 4 Kids collected 20 children’s books and donated them to The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is an international human services non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of humanity.

Stomp On Your Fears-Dream Big Fundraiser

Bean Bar and the Art Station in Leesburg, Virginia held a co-sponsored event and fundraiser to raise awareness for Dream Bigger 4 Kids. More than 100 people attended the event.


Toys and Clothing Donation to Mobile Hope

Dream Bigger 4 Kids purchased toys and clothes, and donated them to Mobile Hope. Mobile Hope is a non-profit designed to support the needs of precariously housed and at risk youth in Loudoun County, Virginia.


Packing the Mobile Hope Bus

Dream Bigger 4 Kids coordinated and sponsored an effort in collaboration with Key Club of Tuscarora High School to pack the Mobile Hope Bus with canned goods.


Virtual Medical Clinic Sponsorship

Dream Bigger 4 Kids donated medical supplies to sponsor a virtual medical clinic that enables physicians from across the world to be transferred into a free clinic to treat the uninsured. Physicians used a laptop or smart phone to examine patients through the previously placed equipment, cutting out the average 90 minute commute most volunteer doctors make when donating their services to treat such individuals.


Dream Bigger 4 Kids Book Donations

At a Mobile Hope shopping event, Dream Bigger 4 Kids handed out 200 books to at risk children in Loudoun County, Virginia.
